01Privacy Policy

01About this policy
My Waypoint Property (“My Waypoint Property,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at https://mywaypointproperty.ca. This policy describes what information is collected, how it is used and how it is protected in connection with this website and the field services described on it.
My Waypoint Property is a private-sector business operating in British Columbia, Canada. This policy is written to be consistent with the principles of British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). It is not legal advice and does not constitute a formal compliance certification.
02Information we collect
My Waypoint Property collects information in two ways: information you provide voluntarily through the Request Service form, and technical information collected automatically when you visit this website.
Information you provide — when you submit a service request, you may provide:
- Your name and, if applicable, your company or organization
- Your email address (required) and phone number (optional)
- Your preferred contact method
- The property address for the requested work (single-property requests)
- An approximate number of locations (multi-location requests)
- Service type and any reference or file number
- Requested completion date
- On-site contact name, role and contact details
- Access or visit instructions
- A description of the work requested
Technical information — when you visit this website, standard infrastructure logs are generated automatically by the content delivery and API services. These may include your IP address, browser type, the page or resource requested, HTTP status, and request timestamp. This information is used for security, performance monitoring and abuse prevention. It is not used for advertising or behavioural profiling.
This website does not use advertising analytics, behavioural tracking, session replay or third-party tracking scripts. Website fonts are self-hosted. No external font or analytics services receive visitor network information.
03Request Service inquiries
When you submit a request through the Request Service form, the information you provide is transmitted securely to a processing service operated on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in Canada. The submission is validated and then delivered by email to My Waypoint Property for review. No submission data is written to a database or stored by the processing service.
Submitting a request does not create an account, an assignment or any service obligation. A request becomes an accepted engagement only after scope review and confirmation by My Waypoint Property.
The form includes a standard anti-spam measure. No third-party CAPTCHA service is used.
Form data is held in your browser only while you are completing the form. It is not saved to your browser's local storage or any other persistent location on your device.
04How information is used
Information provided through a service request is used to:
- Review and respond to the request
- Confirm scope, timing and requirements
- Coordinate and perform the requested field work if accepted
- Prepare and deliver the agreed professional deliverable
- Maintain necessary business records
- Respond to questions about the work
- Protect against abuse or security issues
My Waypoint Property does not sell personal information, use it for advertising profiling, or share it with third parties except as required to deliver the requested service or as required by law.
05Business and assignment records
Information associated with accepted and completed assignments may become part of My Waypoint Property's internal business records. These records support service delivery, continuity and professional obligations. They are not shared beyond what is required for those purposes.
Property addresses and related field information collected in the course of an assignment are used to perform and document the work. Not all property information is personal information — a property address, for example, is a location, not necessarily a personal identifier. Where property information is associated with an identifiable individual, it is handled consistently with this policy.
06Service providers and hosting
This website and its request processing infrastructure are operated using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The relevant services are:
- Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront — website hosting and content delivery (Canada)
- Amazon Route 53 — DNS
- Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda — Request Service form processing (Canada)
- Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) — delivery of service request notifications by email
- Amazon CloudWatch — infrastructure and application logging
AWS infrastructure used for this website is located in Canada (ca-central-1 region), with the exception of Amazon SES which processes outbound email in the us-east-2 region, and the ACM certificate which is issued in us-east-1. AWS is bound by its own privacy and data processing commitments. My Waypoint Property does not use AWS services for advertising or data brokering.
No other third-party services receive personal information submitted through this website.
07Cookies, analytics and technical information
This website does not use cookies, advertising analytics, behavioural tracking, cross-site tracking, or session replay tools. No non-essential cookies are set.
Standard infrastructure logs generated by Amazon CloudFront and Amazon API Gateway may include IP addresses, request timestamps, requested URLs, HTTP status codes, and browser user-agent strings. These logs are used for security monitoring, abuse prevention and performance purposes. They are not used for advertising profiling and are not shared with advertising networks.
Application logs generated by the Request Service Lambda function are designed to exclude personal information. They record request identifiers, processing status and service category only.
08Data retention
My Waypoint Property retains personal information only as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, business records, legal obligations, security and dispute resolution.
Service request submissions that are not accepted as assignments are retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry. Information associated with accepted assignments is retained as part of My Waypoint Property's business records for as long as required by applicable professional and legal obligations.
Infrastructure logs are subject to the default retention settings of the AWS services that generate them. My Waypoint Property does not currently operate an automated deletion schedule for these logs.
09Safeguards
My Waypoint Property takes reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Safeguards in place include:
- All website traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS)
- Website content is served from private cloud storage accessible only through the content delivery network
- Request Service submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections
- Access to AWS infrastructure is controlled through role-based permissions
- Application logs are designed to exclude personal information
No security measure is absolute. My Waypoint Property will take reasonable steps to address any confirmed security incident affecting personal information.

02Terms of Use
Last updated · November 2026
01About these terms
These terms govern your use of the My Waypoint Property website at https://mywaypointproperty.ca. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
These are website terms of use. They are not a complete commercial services agreement. The terms that govern any specific service engagement — scope, deliverables, fees, completion, billing and commercial arrangements — are established separately for each assignment.
02Website information
This website describes the service categories and general practices of My Waypoint Property. The information is provided for general informational purposes. Specific assignment requirements, scope, deliverables and any applicable limitations are confirmed separately for each engagement.
03Submitting a request is not an accepted engagement
Submitting a service request through this website — or contacting My Waypoint Property by email — does not mean My Waypoint Property has accepted the assignment.
A request becomes an accepted engagement only after scope review, confirmation by My Waypoint Property and any required commercial arrangement. Until that confirmation is provided, no service obligation exists on either side.
04Professional scope
My Waypoint Property provides independent property field and documentation services within the agreed scope of each assignment. My Waypoint Property does not provide services outside the agreed scope of an accepted engagement.
05Property History and current verification
Where prior property documentation exists, it may inform a subsequent assignment. Prior property information does not replace current observation and verification. Each visit records and verifies the current condition of the property at the time of the visit.
06Intellectual property
The content of this website — including text, design and structure — is the property of My Waypoint Property. You may not reproduce, copy or redistribute website content without permission.
07Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website in any way that:
- Violates applicable law or regulation
- Interferes with the operation of the website
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any system or data
- Submits false, misleading or fraudulent information
- Harasses, impersonates or harms others
08Website availability and changes
My Waypoint Property may update, modify or discontinue any part of this website at any time without notice. The website is provided on an as-available basis.
09Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, My Waypoint Property is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on information contained in it. This limitation applies to the website itself and does not affect the terms of any accepted service engagement.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia.
